The Soul Obelisk, once a dazzling masterpiece, now stands as a haunting reminder of its former glory. Its exterior is cracked and weathered, with vines and moss creeping up its walls. The interior is crumbling staircases, dusty chambers, and old broken arcane devices, making it a perilous place for any who dare to enter.
In recent years, the tower has become the lair of a local thieves’ guild. The guild has taken advantage of the tower’s location to establish a secure base of operations. They use the tower’s strategic location and its reputation for being haunted to deter unwanted visitors. The lower levels (1-2) are filled with stolen goods, makeshift living quarters, and training areas for new recruits. The upper levels (3-4) are reserved for the guild’s leaders and their most trusted members.

- Thogaz, the leader of the thief band, is to be found in his quarters (level4-C13-C14)
- Zull is on his level (Level3-C9) or in his room (Level2-C8); He keeps the chapel clean or read Religious books (C9) or he is sleeping (C8).
- Az for most of the time, practicing his arcanic art on level3 (C10).
- The rest of the band (4 thiefs) leaves on level1 and practice (fight, thievery) on Level2 (C6)
A day in the live of the local thief guild
Every week at the docks, Thogaz meets with a representative of the Onyx Alliance to deliver tributes linked to the band's activities. Zull's primary role is overseeing all business dealings of the group and monitoring their operations closely. At night, he safeguards the tower against any supernatural threats. Meanwhile, Az and the rest of the band are tasked with executing actual operations such as theft and bribery.
Detailed description
- Floor 1 - Entry Level: The ancient door is damaged and no longer closes properly. Upon entering, you'll notice the headless statue of a mage, broken during the earthquake. This floor has been taken over by thieves who use it as both their living and sleeping quarters, as well as a storage space for crates destined for sale to the Onyx Alliance.
- Floor 2 – Boss’s quarters: Az (C7) and Zull (C8) use this level for their living and sleeping areas. They have converted the old library (C6) into a training/testing ground.
- Floor3 – Chapel and Arcane Laboratory: Az and Zull utilised this floor and transform the study rooms in Unholy Ground (C9) dedicated to Nocticula, as well as into an arcane laboratory (C10) for Az.
- Floor 4 – Thogaz’s Study and Bedroom: As the leader of the Soul Obelisk guild, Thogaz claimed the entire 4th floor for himself. Occasionally, he meets with representatives from the Onyx Alliance here. Everyone in the tower knows not to disturb Thogaz, even if they hear unusual noises coming from this floor.
Treasures are rare in the guild; Thogaz ensures most of their spoils go to the Onyx Alliance. Nevertheless, thieves and leaders retain a portion for themselves.

- Zull donates all his money to the Nocticula cult (or so he thinks).
