As our heroes savor their hard-earned rest in the tranquil haven of the Manticor’s tale, an unseen menace lurks in the shadows of Absalom. Nesitus, a cunning sharda-kai, and her accomplice Lorsan, a bard tiefling with a silver tongue, weave a web of deception that threatens to ensnare the unsuspecting adventurers.
With her mastery of shadow magic, Nesitus remains undetected, silently observing our heroes, learning their strengths and weaknesses. She is a master manipulator, skilled in the art of turning allies against each other, sowing seeds of doubt and discord.
Lorsan, with his charming facade and melodic voice, is the perfect partner in crime. He uses his bardic talents to sway opinions and emotions, his captivating performances hiding a sinister agenda. Lorsan's tales and songs are laced with half-truths and subtle suggestions, designed to influence our heroes' decisions and actions. He is the puppet master, pulling strings from behind the scenes, all while maintaining the guise of a friendly entertainer.
Together, Nesitus and Lorsan plot to make the heroes act like puppets, guiding them towards their own nefarious goals. They exploit moments of vulnerability, using illusion and enchantment to cloud the adventurers' judgment.
